Newcastle, Tyne and Wear
£28
Description
The JOYO AC Tone is an all analogue simulation of the VOX AC 15/30 TB range of EL84 based combos
The case is durable aluminum alloy. The pedal has an input impedance of 1Mohm and output impedance of 1Kohm, making it suitable both as a pedal in front of a clean amp, an FFR cabinet, or direct to mixing desk or PA cab..
Powered by a standard PP3 9V battery or Boss type DC 9V adapter, current drain is only 3.8mA
This pedal can make your clean sound sparkle by thickening the midrange or controlling the top boost using an emulation of the Vox Top Cut control.
The pedal produces a warm and a natural sounding overdrive. The voice control, drive and 3-band eq offers even more flexibility when it comes to tailoring your sound
The AC Tone also has a built in cabinet emulation meaning you can go from the pedal directly to a mixing desk, or audio interface, giving you a DI and amp and speaker simulator all in one box.
Ideal for silent recording or practice
I have been using the AC Tone as the last pedal on my gigging pedal board as a backup for an unreliable VOX AC30, and occasionally for smaller gigs as a direct replacement, going straight into the PA, and I've been very pleased with the results.
I now have a much more reliable (and lighter) VOX AC15 so the AC Tone no longer required.
"Second to the VOX amp, this is my personal favourite distortion, It gives you that 'toppy' brittle, British amp sound that EL84 valves give you. Very good at bringing out the tonal quality of a humbucker. The 'voice' control gives you tons of tone option"
Level and drive controls add incredible range
Modelling achieves famous vox ac-30 tone
Distortion is warm and natural, with subtlety in mind
Quality components, bypass feature
powered by 9v battery (not included) or 9v centre negative power supply.
