Playing and recording discs perfectly, but you do have to pay attention to which discs you buy, since there's a myriad of brands and types (R-, R+ RW-, RW+, R D/L, RW D/L etc etc). My honest advice is to buy a few cheaper recordable rather than rewriteable discs, from a few different brands, and test which works best for you.
