2002 Ducati 750ssie Black Fully Faired

The good ..........

One of the very last 750's off the production line.
Gloss black and with the factory optional lower fairings, double bubble screen and a few carbon fibre parts sprinkled over her, it has twin Stainless Steel Microns and sounds like a Bologna L-twin should. It also has a Motobatt battery upgrade. The bike has been dry stored for around two years but was running and riding well up to that point.
No MOT but I know of nothing that would prevent it from testing.
I'm selling it because I am trimming down my collection and my shape (round) no longer lends itself to an Italian sports bike.

The bad .......

It will likely need a belt service before being recommissioned, due to it not having been used. Anyone who knows Desmo's will know this is not the nightmare it's made out to be and can be done by a competent home mechanic. I have no doubt with fresh petrol, it will fire up fairly quickly regardless.
I also suspect the valve stem oil seals have perished with age, a known feature of these engines, as it was getting a bit smokey when cold. I must stress however that compression is good and it is a strong engine.

The ugly.........

A few scuffs and marks, it is a 24 year old bike. Paintwork and decals however are in generally good condition.

Both keys and owners manual present along with the original screen and mirrors.

I feel that I have priced the bike fairly taking account of the work required to get her back on the road. MOT'd and serviced, I'd be looking close to £3000 for it.

These are starting to appreciate in value and there aren't that many that come on the market over here. A cheap way into Italian exotica ownership.
