Light Vehicle Service / Mechanical Technician

Up to £40,000 DOE | Burton upon Trent | Full-Time | Permanent

An established and growing automotive business is opening a new garage in Burton and is looking for an experienced Light Vehicle Technician to join its workshop team.

If you're a skilled mechanic who enjoys servicing, mechanical repairs and fault-finding, this is an opportunity to join a growing workshop working on a variety of cars and light vehicles.

Experience working on Fiat models would be particularly advantageous.

The workshop is being built from the ground up, giving you the opportunity to make your mark and help shape how the team operates.

What you'll be doing:

Carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance

*

Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults

*

Working on engines, brakes, suspension, steering and transmission components

*

Completing vehicle inspections and identifying additional repair requirements

*

Carrying out diagnostic checks and fault-finding

*

Using diagnostic equipment to investigate and resolve issues

*

Maintaining accurate service records and job reports

What we're looking for:

*

Previous experience as a Light Vehicle Technician, Service Technician or Mechanic

*

Strong mechanical diagnostic and fault-finding skills

*

Experience servicing and repairing cars and light vehicles

*

Familiarity with diagnostic equipment

*

A methodical approach and attention to detail

*

A full UK driving licence

Experience working on Fiat models would be advantageous, alongside relevant automotive qualifications. xjnqpsq
