Description
Job Title: Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
* Location: Hurst Green
* Salary: £25,000 - £38,000 P/A depending on skill
* Working hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm, (Saturday shift every other weekend 8am - 12pm)
* Job Type: Full time, Temp to Perm
HRGO Recruitment are seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy automotive workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing faults, carrying out servicing and repairs, and ensuring all work is completed to a high standard while maintaining safety and quality expectations.
General Duties as a Vehicle Technician:
* Diagnose and resolve vehicle faults confidently and accurately.
* Carry out routine vehicle servicing and maintenance to a high standard.
* Perform mechanical repairs including engines, cambelts, clutches, and related components.
* Use diagnostic equipment and workshop tools effectively to identify and repair issues.
* Ensure all work meets quality standards and complies with health and safety regulations.
* Accurately record work completed and communicate findings with colleagues and supervisors.
* Work efficiently both independently and as part of a workshop team.
Role Requirements for a Vehicle Technician:
* Solid mechanical knowledge with confidence in diagnostics and general repair work. xjnqpsq
* Relevant automotive qualification (e.g. NVQ or City & Guilds)
* NVQ Level 3 qualification is preferred
* Good workshop discipline and the ability to manage tasks efficiently.
* Full UK driving licence is essential as will be test driving vehicles
* Ability to work safely and maintain high standards under time constraints
