Vehicle Strip/Fitter

Location: Grimsby (DN31) | Pay: £16.75 per hour | Shifts: 4 on 4 off | Hours: 06:00-18:00

Contract: Temp to Perm after 12 weeks (subject to performance and attendance)

GI Group Humber are recruiting an experienced Vehicle Strip/Fitter for our automotive client based in Grimsby (DN31). This is an excellent opportunity for a bodyshop professional looking for stable work and a long-term role.

Pay & Hours

£16.75 per hour

4 on 4 off shift pattern

06:00-18:00

Temp to perm after 12 weeks (performance/attendance dependent)

Key Responsibilities

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

Stripping and refitting vehicles, including removing/replacing panels, bumpers, lights, door handles and interior trim

Handling minor mechanical, electrical and trim components during strip/refit

Ensuring excellent component care by labelling, organising and storing parts correctly for efficient reassembly

Working to set processes and quality standards, ensuring health & safety is followed at all times

Own tools for the role are required (screwdriver, hammer, electric screwdriver etc)

Requirements

To be considered, you must have:

Full UK Driving Licence held for at least 2 years

Aged 22+

No points/endorsements (up to 3 points may be accepted depending on code)

Proven experience as a Vehicle Strip/Fitter (or similar bodyshop role) - essential (client requirement)

Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures

Reliable and able to work the 4 on 4 off shift rotation

Own basic tools for the role are required (screwdriver, hammer, electric screwdriver etc). Upon meeting with site, there will be a full explanation on what exact tools you will need.
