Maintenance Assistant – Elderly Care Home | Halstead, Essex

£12.21 per hour | Full-Time | Paid Breaks

We’re delighted to be supporting a well-established, friendly nursing home in Halstead, Essex, in their search for a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Assistant to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone practical and proactive who enjoys keeping things running smoothly and safely behind the scenes.

About the Role:

Assisting the Maintenance Manager with day-to-day upkeep of the home

*

Carrying out routine checks, basic repairs, and general maintenance tasks

*

Supporting with compliance tasks and health & safety duties

*

Ensuring the home remains safe, tidy, and in excellent condition for residents and staff

*

Please note: This role does not include gardening responsibilities

What We’re Looking For:

A good all-rounder with basic maintenance or repair skills

*

Someone who takes pride in their work and pays attention to detail

*

Friendly, respectful, and happy to work around elderly residents

*

Previous experience in a care home or similar setting is a bonus, but not essential
