Job Title: Quality Inspector

Location: Basildon, Essex

Salary: £23.17ph

Hours of work: (Monday - Thursday) 7pm – 4am (Friday) 2.30pm-7.30pm

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Are you an experienced Quality Inspector looking to join one of the largest independent global manufacturers in the UK. Specialising in a wide range of aerospace production capabilities. Located in Basildon, Essex, dedicated to precision manufacturing, treatments, NDT, and repairs of metallic aerospace parts and finished components.

Key Responsibilities for the Quality Inspector:

* Previous Internal auditing experience

* Experienced in an engineering background

* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications

* Technical knowledge & experience within the aerospace sector preferred

* Competent in using the following equipment; verniers, micrometres, bore micrometers, height gauges, DTI (Digital Test Indicators);

* Experience in a quality control environment preferred

* Provide 1st Article Inspection Reports

* Working to ISO 9001 and ISO 5001

* Experience of Machining / Fabrications and Treatments

* Ability to work on own initiative and with minimum supervision

* CMM experience advantageous but not essential

* Experience in lean tools such as 8D, Kaizen (Continues Improvement) processes

* Chemical and special processes knowledge

* Aerospace manufacturing background ideally specific NADCAP experience

* New Product Introduction & associated tools FMEA, APQP + PPAP Awareness

Requirements for the Quality Inspector :

* Minimum 3 years’ experience in Quality Inspection.

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.

* Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent attention to detail.

* Experience in using a wide range of measuring and inspection tools.

* Recognized engineering apprenticeship, NVQ, or equivalent qualification is beneficial.
