Strategic Procurement Specialist - Buildings & Construction
Location - Broughton
12 month contract
Pay Rate: £44 p/h via umbrella
(Inside IR35)
This role is part of a global procurement function, focusing on strategic sourcing for building and construction projects across UK and international sites. The position supports multi-divisional needs and contributes to long-term procurement strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Execute procurement strategies aligned with business and project goals
Lead tenders and manage supplier relationships across national and international scopes
Negotiate and implement framework agreements
Ensure supplier performance meets cost, quality, and delivery expectations
Drive savings initiatives through demand management, specification optimization, and supplier consolidation
Support compliance with procurement policies and contribute to process improvements, including digital procurement tools
Experience & Qualifications
Proven experience in strategic procurement, ideally within construction or facilities management
Strong negotiation and contract management skills
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects
Familiarity with procurement tools and systems (e.g. e-procurement platforms)
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Professional procurement certification (e.g. CIPS) is desirable
