IMH Recruitment are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our client's dynamic team in Rotherham to start ASAP.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be proficient in the maintenance and repair of heavy goods vehicles.

Responsibilities:

* Provide a high quality, efficient maintenance, inspection, repair and test service for both the Council’s internal fleet and external customers, which includes a diverse range of HGVs, light vehicles and road going plant.

* Prepare, present and accompany HGV vehicles for annual MOT inspections as well as carrying out periodic safety inspections on all HGV vehicles to DVSA inspection manual standards.

* Carry out fault diagnosis on complex hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems, including welding, fabrication and body repairs as required.

* Attend broken down or accident damaged vehicles and fix permanent or carryout or running repairs as required, including preparing and decommissioning vehicles.

Experience:

* Proven mechanical knowledge with a focus on heavy goods vehicles.

* Experience in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.

* Familiarity with equipment repair techniques and maintenance procedures.

* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

* City & Guilds, IMI Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, Motor Vehicle Engineering, or equivalent.

* A Full UK Driving Licence is required with Category C or willing to obtained in first year of employment. xjnqpsq

Hours & Pay:

* Monday - Thursday 10am-6pm. Friday - 10:30am- 6pm

* 37hrs per week

* Starting at £18.35 P/H (increases after probation).

* Weekly pay whilst through agency
