Job Title: Skilled Composite Laminators (x10) - Earlies & Lates

Location: Southampton

Contract: PAYE / Umbrella

Shift Patterns: Earlies: Mon-Thu: 06:00-14:15 | Fri: 06:00-12:00 | Lates: Mon-Thu: 14:15-22:30 | Fri: 12:00-18:00

Pay Rates: Earlies: PAYE £22.23 per hour | UMB £25.94 per hour | Lates: PAYE: £25.94 per hour | Umbrella: £35.66 per hour

Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK, adhere to ITAR restrictions, and be able to obtain Baseline Security Clearance (BPSS).

The Opportunity

Due to a production ramp‑up, we're recruiting 10 Skilled Composite Laminators to join a high‑performance aerospace manufacturing team. Roles are available on both earlies and lates, working in a modern, automated cleanroom environment producing precision composite components to demanding aerospace standards.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Laminator (Lay‑Up Operator), you'll manufacture high‑quality composite components using manual lay‑up techniques with carbon fibre, glass and honeycomb core materials.

This role involves physical activity. Candidates must be comfortable with manual tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out composite lay‑up of aerospace panels to tight tolerances

Work safely and efficiently to meet production and customer requirements

Read and follow work instructions, specifications and technical drawings via PC

Complete route cards accurately to maintain component traceability

Liaise with Quality and Engineering to support production delivery

Hold and use an Approved Operator (AO) stamp where applicable

Support scrap reduction and continuous improvement initiativesWhat You'll Need to Succeed

You'll work as part of a multi‑disciplined team, taking ownership of quality, traceability and right‑first‑time build. xjnqpsq

Essential:

Proven, recent hands‑on experience in composite laminating

Experience working with carbon fibre and similar composite materials

Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail

Ability to read and understand technical documentation

Good knowledge of health & safety in manufacturing or cleanroom environments

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Reliable, punctual and self‑motivated approachDesirable:

Background in Aerospace, Formula 1 or Motorsport

NVQ Level 3, time‑served apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience
