Coach/Minibus Driver

Description

We are looking for professional, reliable and friendly PCV drivers to join our growing team.

We are an established independent coach operator providing home-to-school transport, private hire, day trips, events and other passenger-transport services across Herefordshire, Shropshire, Worcestershire and the surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced coach or bus driver looking for regular work with a friendly local operator. We are interested in hearing from drivers seeking full-time or part-time hours.

The role

The work is varied and may include:

* Home-to-school contracts

* Coach private hire

* School trips

* Day excursions

* Event transport

* Shuttle services

* Weekend and evening work

* Occasional longer-distance journeys

The precise duties and working pattern will depend on your availability, experience and the position offered.

Essential requirements

Applicants must have:

* A valid UK Category D PCV driving entitlement

* A valid Driver Qualification Card/Driver CPC

* A valid digital tachograph card

* The legal right to work in the UK

* A good understanding of PCV drivers’ hours and tachograph requirements

* A safe and responsible driving record

* A professional and passenger-focused attitude

* Reliable transport to reach our depot

* The flexibility to undertake the agreed duties and working pattern

An enhanced DBS certificate will be required for school-transport duties. We can discuss the application process with successful candidates where necessary.

* Confident carrying children, schools, private groups and members of the public

* Careful with company vehicles

* Willing to follow procedures and report problems

* Able to work independently while remaining part of the wider team

Previous coach-driving experience is desirable, but we will consider applicants with suitable bus or other PCV experience.
