Description

Job Title: Assembly Technician

Location: Goole

Pay Rate: £14.56 per hour PAYE + Overtime at 150%

Contract: 6-month initial contract

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

About the Role

We are currently seeking a hands-on Assembly Technician to join our team in Goole, working within the motor department. This is a great opportunity for someone with a mechanical background, particularly from the automotive or engineering sectors, to apply their skills in an advanced manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will be involved in assembling and adjusting various mechanical and electro-mechanical components, supporting both production and potential ramp-up at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

Perform qualified mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly operations on-site.

Assemble components and, if required, adjust machinery for ramp-up readiness at the customer location.

Support production planning and efficient resource allocation within the team.

Analyse the customer's processes and technical requirements to tailor assembly and setup plans.

Plan work steps in coordination with other team members and customer representatives.

Monitor the availability of necessary parts, tools, and machines throughout the assembly process.

Operate and maintain a range of specialised tools and equipment.

Assist with planning, executing, and analysing test procedures in a complex test environment.

Contribute to problem-solving and resolve routine issues affecting daily production operations.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

Practical, hands-on experience using tools in a workshop or manufacturing environment.

Previous experience in an assembly technician or similar mechanical role.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions accurately.Desirable:

Formal qualifications in mechanical or engineering disciplines.

Experience working with electrical motors, gearboxes, or small mechanical components.

Automotive industry background - particularly in motor or gearbox assembly - highly beneficial due to transferable skills.
