A private household in South Kensington, London, is seeking an experienced and reliable live out housekeeper / cook to maintain the home to a high standard and prepare fresh meals. This is a regular position suited to someone who is organised, takes pride in their work and can manage housekeeping and cooking responsibilities independently.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a private household and be confident carrying out detailed cleaning, laundry and ironing, as well as preparing a variety of meals. They should be proactive, attentive to detail and able to keep the home clean, tidy and running smoothly throughout the week.

Duties include:

undertaking general housekeeping duties throughout the home
cleaning and maintaining bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas
vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
making beds and changing bed linen
managing laundry, ironing and folding clothes
keeping wardrobes and cupboards neat and organised
maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen
planning and preparing fresh, healthy meals
catering to the household’s food preferences and dietary requirements
organising food shopping and monitoring kitchen supplies
washing up and cleaning the kitchen after meal preparation
keeping household supplies well stocked
ensuring the home remains presentable and well maintained
noticing and attending to household tasks that require attention
running occasional household errands when required
using initiative to manage daily duties efficiently
