Live-in or Live-out Housekeeper/Cook, £45k+ gpa, ASAP start

A private household based in St John’s Wood is seeking an experienced full-time Live-in or Live-out Housekeeper/Cook to join their established and fully staffed household team on a permanent basis.

The role requires a strong background in both housekeeping and cooking, although a trained Chef is not required. The ideal candidate will be confident preparing healthy, family-style meals and following recipes. Responsibilities will include preparing breakfast for the Principal according to specific instructions, preparing staff meals, assisting the Chef with cooking as required, and taking responsibility for the cooking when the Chef is away, alongside general housekeeping duties.

The successful candidate will also work on a rota with the Chef every other Saturday from 10.30am to 3.30pm. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm with a one-hour break, plus every other Saturday, 10.30am to 3.30pm.

For the live-in position, a private studio flat is provided with its own entrance directly onto the street.

The salary is £45k–£48k gross per annum for live-in or £45k–£50k gross per annum for live-out, depending on experience.

UHNW private household experience would be advantageous, but the main priority is demonstrable longevity, stability and commitment in previous positions.

The family is particularly interested in candidates with a strong, traditional Housekeeper/Cook background who are professional, discreet, hardworking, detail-oriented, flexible and comfortable working as part of an established household team.
