A Live-In Housekeeper is required for a large rural country estate on the Welsh border, approximately 25 minutes from Shrewsbury.

Overview

Our client is seeking a proactive and capable live-in Housekeeper to manage the day-to-day running of a 6-bedroom main house and two small Airbnb properties. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is self-motivated, organised, and confident working independently.

It will be the Housekeeper’s responsibility to turnover and prepare the Air B&B properties when needed (February to October each year). During the shoot season (November to January), responsibilities will include cleaning the shoot lodge, laying tables, and preparing for shoot parties of up to 16 guests.

The family are based primarily in Cumbria but spend approximately 10 days per month at the property. The Housekeeper must be comfortable taking initiative, ensuring everything remains clean, stocked, and ready for use year-round.

Duties included but not limited to:

Full housekeeping of a 6-bedroom home
Turning over and general housekeeping of two small Airbnb properties (1-bed and 2-bed) when needed
Cleaning and preparing the shoot lodge
Laying tables and supporting shoot days as required
Stock-taking and managing household inventories
Managing basic systems such as the boiler
Liaising with the family and working independently
