Sensible outdoor active person required to replace naive semi-active sprocker dog owner!
In all seriousness, we have advertised before but wanted to try again and got a dog trainer in etc
But the truth is that we got a dog with the energy and needs of a Ferrari, when we are an Audi at best.
Jasper is absolutely beautiful, great off the lead.. great energy, loves other dogs and greets every dog with a waggy tail, great recall (not urgent recall yet- he chases swans/ cows etc)
He snuggles and has soooo much potential but I need to admit defeat for his benefit and our sanity.
He is chemically castrated until about 14 months so will need another jab or the op if you wish to continue this.
He is up to date with everything and well looked after - just high high energy.
He is not a dog that will just sit and chill in your house or office. He needs exercise, stimulation and to either be the only dog or with other equally crazy active outdoor loving dogs.
He is terrorising our older dog and although a couple of our cats don’t take his nonsense he does chase the meek one.
If you run outside daily, work outside, live on a farm, complete ultra marathons or fell walks for fun then this is your new besty!
I’m gutted and have tried so hard to make it work- he has had 1 hour walks in the morning, off the lead running and running but by lunchtime he is bouncing off the walls and starts to pester our older dog causing fights..
