Meet Hazel:
Hazel is a sweet and healthy 2-year-old dog now searching for a caring new home.
She is friendly and well-behaved with adult women, but cannot be around men or children.
Hazel would thrive best in a woman-only household.

Background and Personality:
At the age of one, Hazel experienced a prolapsed womb, which led to a dramatic shift in her personality. Since then, she has become nervous and snappy with strangers entering the home, and is particularly fearful of brooms and vacuum cleaners.
Hazel would do well in a quiet household with a garden and patient owners who can provide her with attention, affection, and stability.
She is also anxious outside the house and finds public transport stressful, so she is best suited to a home where outings beyond the property are not frequent. Hazel’s anxiety outside is mainly due to having to remain at home for seven months while her prolapse healed, which limited her exposure to new environments during an important stage in her development. As a result, she feels safest in familiar surroundings and becomes stressed when taken beyond her home or garden.
Hazel is good with other dogs in social settings but must live as the only dog in the household. Despite these challenges, she is affectionate and loving with those she trusts. She is crate trained and can be left at home for extended periods, provided she has access to a suitable toilet area.

Ideal Home Environment:
Hazel enjoys going for walks around the garden, playing, and receiving plenty of cuddles. Because she is anxious outside and on public transport, it is essential that her new home has a secure garden (or balcony area) where she can safely enjoy the outdoors.
