Vintage Denby Baroque deep glazed stoneware

Description

Vintage - around 30 years old. Excellent condition and has only been used for special occasions within our family.

Denby Baroque was introduced in 1992 on the Sovereign Shape and discontinued in 2000. The pieces were glazed in a rich mid-blue and featured an art nouveau style pendant that glows in a medley of subtle blues, turquoise, pink, and orange. The pattern was drawn entirely freehand by Claire Bernard and has a vitality and ‘element of uncertainty’ that could not have been achieved if it had been drawn with mechanical precision.

Made in stoneware which is the core, traditional method, it is exceptionally durable, chip-resistant, and suitable for daily, long-term use.
