ABOUT THE PROJECT

Derry Live Commerce is an independent early-stage project currently being developed in Derry/Londonderry. The project aims to create a modern live commerce platform combining product presentation, short-form video, social media marketing and interactive online shopping.

We are seeking a confident, organised and commercially minded individual to work closely with the founder and contribute to the project’s early development.

THE ROLE

This is a broad, hands-on role working directly with the founder across project coordination, research, administration, digital marketing, content creation and live commerce presentation.

The successful applicant will support practical day-to-day project activities while helping to develop, produce and present engaging live and recorded content.

The role would suit someone who is proactive, adaptable, willing to contribute ideas and interested in gaining practical experience within an early-stage digital commerce project.

Previous experience is welcome but not essential. Training, practical guidance and ongoing support will be provided.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the founder with research, planning and project coordination

• Assist with day-to-day administrative and organisational tasks

• Help organise project information, documents and task lists

• Assist with testing and developing the live commerce concept

• Present products and promotional content in live and recorded videos

• Help plan and create short-form content for social media and digital marketing campaigns

• Research potential sellers, partners, content creators and customers

• Assist with communications, outreach and meeting follow-up

• Collect feedback and contribute ideas to improve the platform and user experience

• Support promotional activities and other reasonable project-related duties

CANDIDATE PROFILE

We are looking for someone who is:

• Confident, professional and comfortable speaking on camera

• A clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills

• Reliable, organised and able to work independently

• Creative, proactive and willing to learn

• Comfortable contributing ideas and taking initiative

• Interested in live commerce, e-commerce, digital marketing, social media or early-stage projects

• Currently living in Derry/Londonderry

• Available to attend filming, training, meetings and other in-person activities in Derry/Londonderry when required

Previous experience in presenting, administration, personal assistance, sales, marketing, content creation, e-commerce or business support would be beneficial but is not essential.

TRAINING AND SUPPORT

Training and practical guidance can be provided in areas relevant to the role, including:

• Live commerce and on-camera presentation

• Content planning and short-form video creation

• Social media and digital marketing

• Project coordination and business outreach

• Administrative and organisational processes

• Relevant platforms and digital tools

WORKING ARRANGEMENTS

• This is an ongoing, permanent part-time position

• The role offers a hybrid working arrangement combining in-person and remote work

• Filming, presenting, training and certain meetings will take place in person in Derry/Londonderry

• Some research, planning, administrative and digital tasks may be completed remotely

• Applicants must currently live in Derry/Londonderry

• Working hours and the schedule will be agreed with the successful applicant based on project requirements and mutual availability

• The agreed hours, pay and working arrangements will be confirmed in writing before work begins

• Pay starts from £12.71 per hour, depending on experience and responsibilities
