Adjustable standing desk with adjustable tilt

Description

This is a crank-powered manual adjustable Locus standing desk by the company Focal. It comes with an attached (but removable) shelf and cable-management tray, and two cup/pen holders.

The frame is mostly powdercoated aluminium with a powdercoated zinc crank handle and some steel brackets and mechanism parts (see attached spec sheet for full details). There are levelling feet at the four corners for adjusting to uneven surfaces (one is bent).

The top and shelf are made of hardwood plywood with a white oak real wood veneer.

The top can sit flat or tilt up to 15° for use as more of a drafting table or drawing surface. The shelf is mounted directly to the frame, so it remains level when the top tilts, making it a safe spot for a monitor or liquids or the object of the still-life that you’re painting. The tilt has a continuous range of motion (i.e., not stepped). You adjust it by slightly loosening the x-shaped handle at either side, manually tilting the top, and then re-tightening the handle.

Top Dimensions: ~122cm wide x ~76cm deep x ~2cm thick (48” x 30” x 0.75”)

Static shelf Dimensions: usable area is 25 x 70.3cm. It also sticks out ~10cm behind the top, slightly increasing overall footprint

Height: Desktop adjustable ~91.5–122cm (36–48 in), with shelf at 12cm (4.75 in) above the desktop (when desktop is flat)

Top tilt angle: 0–15°

NOTE: The shelf remains level when the top tilts

One of the leveling feet has a bent bolt and sits at a bit of an angle, but it can still be adjusted. A replacement could likely be sourced from screwfix or similar if this bothers you

Both cup holders are a bit dinged up, and one in particular has a couple of dents. They both still sit cleanly in their grommets, but the dented one is a little tricky to get in or out

This is a large and heavy item, so you will probably want a friend to help you move it. Otherwise, it can optionally be partly disassembled. I can show you how to do this at pickup, but you will be responsible for transport and any reassembly which requires two hex wrenches (5mm and 2mm), a phillips head screwdriver, and a friend to help you put the top back on. I can also provide pdf assembly instructions.
