Appliance Delivery Driver

Description

We are a small business based in Waterloo, L22 specialising in the sale of used appliances.

We are looking for a van driver with their own long wheel base van (or larger) to help with picking up and delivering appliances. The job will involve:

Loading and unloading
Usually taking appliances into customers' houses to the room and position of their choice using a hand truck and/or carrying with a second person. This will involve occasionally, taking appliances up and down stairs (with help)
Installing and disconnecting washing machines and electric cookers
Dealing with customers (ie friendly interactions, paying for items and taking payments, answering basic questions etc)

Thorough and complete training will be provided. All tools/equipment needed will also be provided. No prior experience is necessary (although helpful). You do need to be an experienced and safe driver.

Currently, pay will be £10 per stop. The average stops made per hour should be no less and than 2 or 3. There will be extra pay for longer distances and longer jobs (eg where installation is required). The number of stops per day varies and can range from 4 to 10. We are a growing business so the hope and expectation will be more like 8 or 10+ stops per day before long.

Pay will be cash in hand paid daily.

The start time of shifts is generally, mid to late afternoon and there will be some flexibility here.
