Overview

We're recruiting UK–based freelance Telephone Interpreters who are fluent in English + another language to provide remote telephone interpreting via a dedicated app. You'll support clients across a range of sectors including NHS and Public Sector services, helping customers with limited English proficiency access vital support.

What you'll do

Provide real–time, two–way telephone interpreting (English second language) Answer interpreting requests via an app and interpret live conversations over audio calls Deliver accurate, complete interpretation while maintaining a professional tone Follow confidentiality, safeguarding, and data protection expectations (role requires DBS)

What we're looking for

Professional spoken interpreting experience (essential) Fluent English + a second language (native/near–native) Based in the UK and eligible to work self–employed/freelance Strong understanding of cultural context and terminology Community Interpreting Level 3+ desirable (not essential) Enhanced DBS with child barring check: must hold or be willing to obtain
