Description

Join our busy and fast-paced Transport team as a Transport Supervisor in Bristol, where you'll play a vital role in supporting the Assistant Transport Manager to deliver a high-quality, cost-effective service across our fleet. You'll help ensure daily transport operations run smoothly, planning vehicle movements, coordinating resources, monitoring SLAs, and supporting regulatory compliance. This is a hands-on leadership role, perfect for someone with strong operational experience, great attention to detail, and a proactive, solution-focused mindset.

You’ll also support team performance, develop staff, and drive continuous improvement across transport processes, while making sure we stay compliant with all safety, legal, and company standards.

About the RoleWhat You’ll Do

Plan and manage Van & HGV fleet movements daily

Monitor and ensure timely collections and deliveries within SLAs

Support maintenance of O’Licence compliance and vehicle condition

Lead and support the driver and transport team, including agencies

Handle day-to-day admin, including tachograph analysis and paperwork

Monitor costs, report on KPIs, and contribute to operational improvement

Support and implement change initiatives across transport operations

Ensure health & safety, legal compliance, and accident investigationsAdditional Info

Shifts: Any 5 over 7 days, predominantly Mon–Fri. Back shift 2 pm - 11 pm

You must be flexible to work outside standard hours when needed, and be able to provide support away from the normal location of work on occasion, as required by the business.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced transport environment

Strong understanding of UK/EU driving regulations & tachograph law

Excellent team leadership, communication, and planning skills

Comfortable working independently and making quick decisions

Confident using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Good local and national geographical knowledge

Full UK driving licenceDesirable:

HGV licence and Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)

Management CPC qualification

Previous experience working with Isotrak or equivalent telematics and tracking software.

Previous experience working with Paragon
