Description
A London borough is seeking an experienced Housing Options Officer to join their team on a interim basis for a minimum of 3 months, with the possibility of extension.
You will be responsible for carrying out statutory homelessness duties, managing a varied caseload, and providing practical housing advice to residents facing homelessness.
Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing a caseload of homelessness cases from first contact through to final decisionUndertaking detailed assessments in line with Part VII of the Housing Act 1996 and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017Issuing formal decisions, including Section 184 notificationsCreating and progressing Personalised Housing Plans (PHPs), focusing on prevention and relief outcomesWhat you'll need:
Recent experience in a Housing Options role within a UK local authorityAbility to work on a hybrid basis, attending the office twice a weekInterviews are planned for the end of next week, so applications are being reviewed as they come in.
