Hourly Rate: GBP12.43 per hour

Hours: Shift patterns including early mornings, afternoons and weekends (must be able to drive)

Tru Talent are proud to be partnering with one of the UK's leading airports, currently seeking a friendly and professional Check-in Agent to act as an ambassador and first point of contact for passengers. This is a fantastic opportunity with the potential to lead to a permanent position.

Job Overview:

As a Check-in Agent, you will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service to passengers travelling through the airport. Working on behalf of customer airlines, you will assist with a variety of duties including check-in, boarding, passenger assistance and general airport support, ensuring travellers enjoy a smooth and positive journey.

Key Responsibilities of the Check-in Agent:

Assist passengers throughout the arrival and check-in processProvide support for passengers with additional requirements, including unaccompanied minors (UM), VIP passengers and wheelchair assistanceGuide passengers through Customs, Immigration and quarantine where requiredMake public address announcements when necessarySupport colleagues across the airport to ensure wheelchairs, strollers and luggage remain with passengers on arrivalOperate airport systems and specialist equipment including air-bridges, scanners and airline softwareProduce work-related documentation where requiredMaintain the highest standards of safety, security and customer care at all timesAssist with aircraft cleaning when requiredCarry out any additional duties as required by the operationPlease note, this list outlines the core responsibilities and may vary depending on operational needs and location. Skills and Experience required for the Check-in Agent:

Flexible to work a range of shifts including early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidaysAbility to travel to the airport when public transport may not be availableExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalConfident using computers and willing to learn airline-specific systemsAbility to follow processes and procedures while adapting to changing situationsWillingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions if requiredPassion for delivering outstanding customer serviceSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamA positive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement Please note: A DBS check, aviation security clearance and a full 5-year employment history reference check will be required prior to starting. Any offer of employment will be subject to successfully passing these checks within the required timeframe.
