Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Temporary Accommodation Manager to lead our service, ensuring that individuals and families in housing crisis receive safe, suitable, and well–managed accommodation.

This is a pivotal role in our Housing Solutions team, working at the heart of the community to support some of our most vulnerable residents. You will oversee the day–to–day operation of our temporary accommodation portfolio, ensuring compliance with statutory duties, contractual agreements, and high standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the local authority's portfolio of temporary accommodation, including hostels, leased properties, and emergency placements.

Oversee allocation, occupancy, and move–on arrangements in line with homelessness legislation and council policy.

Ensure properties are maintained to a high standard, working closely with landlords, contractors, and support services.

Lead, support, and develop a team of housing officers and support staff.

Monitor budgets, expenditure, and contractual obligations.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding responsibilities, and data protection requirements.

Develop strong relationships with internal teams, partner agencies, and voluntary sector organisations to deliver holistic support for residents.
