Freelance Site Manager – Holiday Cover
St Austell
2-Week Temporary Contract Weekly CIS Payments Immediate Start
Build Recruitment is working with a leading social housing contractor looking to appoint an experienced Freelance Site Manager to provide 2 weeks' holiday cover on a social housing project in the St Austell area.
The RoleYou'll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard while maintaining excellent relationships with subcontractors, residents, and the client.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily site activities during the holiday cover period.
Supervise subcontractors and site teams.
Ensure health & safety compliance across site.
Carry out site inspections, toolbox talks, and daily reporting.
Monitor programme, labour, and materials.
Liaise with residents and client representatives to ensure smooth project delivery.Requirements
Previous experience as a Site Manager, ideally within social housing, planned works, or refurbishment.
Valid SMSTS certificate (essential).
Valid First Aid at Work certificate (essential).
Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and site compliance.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Full UK driving licence preferred.What's on Offer
