Description
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to provide temporary holiday cover on a Planned Works and Social Housing refurbishment contract across the Boston area.
This is a temporary opportunity running from 11 September 2026. You will join an established property services team delivering refurbishment and planned works for a leading social housing contract, with mileage paid and temporary employee benefits available.
The role involves operational site management across a range of refurbishment projects, leading directly employed and subcontracted construction and trade teams and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards.
We welcome applications from Site Managers, Senior Site Managers, Construction Site Managers, Refurbishment Site Managers, Planned Works Site Managers and Construction Managers with strong refurbishment experience and a background in social housing or residential construction.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the day–to–day operational delivery of planned works and refurbishment projectsLead and manage directly employed and subcontracted construction and trade teamsEnsure projects are delivered safely, effectively and on programmeOversee refurbishment and retrofit works across the Boston areaEnsure all Health & Safety policies and procedures are strictly followedMaintain accurate and up–to–date Health & Safety recordsEnsure employees, subcontractors and visitors are appropriately inductedMonitor the quality and specification of works being completed on siteEnsure environmental and waste management procedures are followedOrganise regular site meetings and coordinate site activitiesPlan and manage labour, materials and other site resources effectivelyMotivate, support and manage site staff, providing coaching and guidance where requiredMaintain high standards of site presentationLiaise with the Project Manager, clients, subcontractors and other stakeholdersEnsure company procedures and customer satisfaction standards are consistently maintainedRequirements:
Proven experience as a Site Manager within construction or refurbishmentStrong experience delivering planned works and refurbishment projectsKnowledge of kitchens and bathrooms, roofline works and re–roofingExperience managing directly employed and subcontracted construction teamsMinimum Level 4 qualification, such as NVQ4 or HNC, or equivalent experienceSMSTSScaffold inspection qualification/experienceValid CSCS cardAsbestos Awareness qualification; Duty to Manage experience would be desirableFull UK driving licenceExcellent communication and leadership skillsExperience working within social housing is desirableExperience working in live, occupied or void properties is desirableBenefits:
