Freelance Site Engineer – External Works

Location: Leeds

Start Date: 30th November 2026

Duration: 3 Months

Rate: £300 - £340 per shift

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to join a project in Leeds, working with the civils sub-contractor on the external works package of a major development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the completion of the remaining external works, ensuring all setting out and engineering requirements are delivered accurately and to programme.

SCOPE OF WORKS:

• External ducting installation

• Minor drainage works

• ACO channel drains

• Stoning up and achieving finished levels

• Setting out and checking levels

• Quality control and as-built information

• Supporting the site team with the coordination and completion of the external works

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience as a Freelance Site Engineer

• Strong setting-out experience within civils and external works

• xjnqpsq Confident using robotic total stations and GPS equipment

• Experience with ducting, drainage, ACO drains and external levels

• Ability to work independently and support the site team in driving works to completion

• Relevant CSCS card
