Description

Site Agent / Sub Agent

Location: West Midlands / Midlands

Salary: GBP55,000 - GBP65,000 + Benefits

Contract: Permanent

I'm currently recruiting for a Site Agent to join a leading infrastructure contractor delivering technically challenging civil engineering projects across the Midlands.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Agent or Sub Agent with a strong civil engineering background to join an established business working across complex infrastructure and safety-critical environments.

The position would suit an experienced Sub Agent looking to take the next step in their career, as well as an established Site Agent seeking a new challenge.

The Role

As Site Agent, you will play a key role in the safe, efficient and successful delivery of site operations, coordinating site teams, subcontractors and project resources to ensure works are completed to the required programme, budget and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate day-to-day site operations across civil engineering projects.

Support the delivery of works in line with programme, budget and project specifications.

Supervise site teams, subcontractors and engineering personnel.

Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with health and safety requirements, RAMS and environmental standards.

Monitor progress, identify potential delays and implement corrective actions where required.

Coordinate site engineering activities, inspections, quality assurance and as-built documentation.

Interpret technical drawings, specifications and construction information.

Manage site records, permits, temporary works requirements and quality documentation.

Liaise with the Project Manager, commercial team, client representatives and wider project stakeholders.

Maintain high standards of quality, safety and environmental compliance throughout project delivery.

About You

Previous experience as a Site Agent, Sub Agent or in a similar site management role.

Strong background in civil engineering, construction or infrastructure projects.

Good understanding of site management, construction sequencing and project delivery.

Experience managing subcontractors, site teams and day-to-day operations.

Knowledge of RAMS, ITPs, health and safety procedures and quality assurance.

Ability to interpret technical drawings and manage site documentation.

Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.

Relevant construction or civil engineering qualifications, or equivalent industry experience.

A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership of site activities and drive progress.

Desirable experience:

Defence, utilities, National Grid, energy or other safety-critical infrastructure projects.

Experience working within regulated or secure environments.

Temporary works coordination and permit-to-work procedures.

Relevant site management or health and safety qualifications.

What's on Offer?

Salary of GBP50,000 - GBP65,000, depending on experience.

Permanent position with an established infrastructure contractor.

Opportunity to work on technically challenging projects.

Long-term career progression and development opportunities.

Company benefits, including pension, life assurance and employee assistance programmes.

Additional benefits and potential bonus opportunities.

Location & Travel

The role will cover projects across the Midlands, with the successful candidate ideally based in Bedfordshire, the East Midlands or surrounding areas.

Travel to project sites will be required, and occasional overnight stays may be necessary depending on project requirements.

Interested?

If you're an experienced Site Agent or Sub Agent looking for your next opportunity within civil engineering and infrastructure, I'd be keen to have a confidential conversation.

Please apply with your latest CV or get in touch to discuss the role in more detail.

Kind regards,

Patrick Gray
