Rail Infrastructure Project

VGC is recruiting for an experienced Site Agent to support the delivery of a major rail infrastructure project at Bryn Station, Wigan.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proven Site Agent with rail experience to join a high-profile project, leading site operations and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.

Requirements:

Valid PTS and CSCS competency cardsPrevious experience working as a Site Agent within rail infrastructure projectsStrong knowledge of Network Rail standards and proceduresExperience managing subcontractors, programme delivery, quality, and project reportingAbility to liaise effectively with clients, stakeholders, and operational teams

Responsibilities:

Support the Project Manager in delivering project objectivesAct as the key point of contact for TfGM, Network Rail, TOCs, and stakeholdersEnsure works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to specificationDevelop and manage 4-week lookahead programmesCoordinate and manage subcontractors and site activitiesReview and approve RAMS, risk assessments, and work packagesProduce and maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)Conduct quality inspections and manage defect resolutionMonitor project scope and manage change control processesRaise and manage Technical Queries (TQs)Maintain construction records, assurance documentation, and as-built recordsSupport project handover and closeout activitiesManage environmental risks and ensure compliance with project requirements
