Setting Out Site Engineer needed in Reading

Location: Reading RG2

Rate: 280 - 350 per day

Hours: 7.30 to 5pm

Job Type: Contract - 1 month

Job Description:

Stridden Limited are recruiting for an established Groundworkers and Civils Contractor who are currently looking for an experienced Setting Out Site Engineer to join their team. You will be a key member of their site team, responsible for the technical and quality control of civil engineering works in Reading.

Site Engineer Key Duties:

Your role will involve:

Setting out and conducting surveys to ensure all work is carried out to the highest level of accuracy, in line with engineering drawings and project specifications.

Managing and supervising subcontractors and direct labour, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.

Inspecting and auditing work on-site, implementing quality assurance procedures, and preparing comprehensive daily reports.

Acting as the primary point of contact for technical queries on site, collaborating closely with the design team, the client, and subcontractors alike.

Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and promoting our safety first culture.

Maintaining detailed records of all site activities, including progress, materials, and resources.

Mentoring trainee engineers within the company

Site Engineer Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

A degree or HND in Civil Engineering.

. CSCS Card

A minimum of 3 experience as a Site Engineer on groundworks and civil engineering projects across all sectors including housing, industrial, commercial, roads and sewers.

. Housing experience

. Having an instrument is beneficial
