Location: Swindon

Salary: GBP75,000 + GBP5,750 Car Allowance

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Overview:

First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic national construction business who are looking to recruit a Senior Quality Manager on a permanent basis due to growth based at their Swindon depot.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Support strategic quality planning and contribute to business wide quality initiativesDevelop Quality Plans and documentation for bids ECI phases and project start upAct as the initial Quality Manager during mobilisation of new projectsDeliver internal audits in line with the company audit scheduleConduct supplier reviews supply chain assurance visits and external audit supportMaintain and manage nonconformity logs ensuring timely closureVisit active projects to review quality performance and provide guidanceLead or support quality improvement projects and business improvement planningFacilitate lessons learned forums and ensure insights are shared across teamsDeliver training and coaching on quality matters to non quality staffSupport communication campaigns such as World Quality WeekAttend industry seminars and share learning with the wider businessPromote required cultures such as Nuclear Safety and CollaborationDeputise for the Head of Quality Management when required

Skills and Experience:

Experience in nuclear defence utilities or other highly regulated sectorsExposure to large Tier 1 contractor environmentsExperience delivering training or coaching on quality topicsKnowledge of integrated management systemsExperience supporting second and third party auditsFamiliarity with business wide improvement planning and cultural developmentStrong background in quality management within construction engineering or major infrastructureExperience delivering ISO 9001 audits IRCA 5 day course or equivalentAbility to develop Quality Plans procedures and assurance documentationExperience supporting bids ECI phases and early project mobilisationStrong understanding of document control processes and EDMS platforms such as ProjectWise 4Projects ASite ThemisKnowledge of ISO 19650 and document numbering standardsExperience in supply chain quality supplier assessment or developmentAbility to analyse quality data identify trends and drive improvementConfident communicator able to influence stakeholders at all levelsCompetent in MS Office particularly Excel and Word
