Description
Planning Engineer with rail industry experience required in Birmingham for an initial 6 month contract.
This contract role will focus on project planning, programme management and maintaining accurate delivery schedules across a major rail infrastructure project.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing, maintaining and updating detailed project programmes using Primavera P6
Supporting the planning and coordination of rail project activities from mobilisation through to delivery
Monitoring progress against agreed programmes and identifying potential delays or risks
Working with project managers, engineers, contractors and wider stakeholders to ensure effective programme delivery
Producing progress reports, schedule updates and planning information for project reviews
Contributing to mitigation plans and recovery schedules where required
Job Requirements:
Experience working as a Planning Engineer or P6 Planner within the rail sector
Strong project planning and programme management skills
Proficiency in Primavera P6
Understanding of rail infrastructure projects, delivery processes and project controls
Ability to analyse programmes, identify critical activities and assess project risks
Strong communication and stakeholder xjnqpsq management skills
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage changing priorities
Availability to work on a contract basis in Central Birmingham

Initial six-month contract
Based in Central Birmingham
Outside IR35
