Description

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an Operations Manager, Housing Management & Income Recovery for a Local Authority Client in East London.

In this role, you will lead and manage the Housing Management & Procurement Service, ensuring effective temporary accommodation provision, income maximisation, and high–quality support for vulnerable residents.

Duties:

Lead housing services to ensure effective management of temporary accommodation, tenancies, and rent income.Drive service improvement by ensuring compliance, maximising performance, and delivering excellent support to residents.Collaborate with partners to enhance housing outcomes and strengthen relationships across teams and agencies.Develop and inspire staff by setting clear goals, providing guidance, and fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

Extensive experience in temporary accommodation, tenancy services, income recovery, and homelessness prevention.In–depth knowledge of Landlord & Tenant Law, Family and Immigration Law, welfare benefits, and relevant case law.Proven ability to manage budgets, monitor performance, and drive cost–effective service delivery.Skilled in handling legal proceedings, procurement, contracts, and delivering responsive services to diverse communities.What's on offer:

Salary: 45ph

may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience

Contract type: 12 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
