Office Administrator / Bookkeeper

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Office Administrator / Bookkeeper to join an established office team.

Working closely with the Directors and Designer, you will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the office, managing correspondence with customers and suppliers, completing general administration and maintaining accurate financial records using QuickBooks.

This is a varied role suited to someone who is organised, reliable, commercially aware and confident working independently.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage the day-to-day administration and smooth running of the office.

* Handle correspondence between the business, customers and suppliers.

* Maintain accurate records, filing systems and documentation.

* Complete general office administration, data entry and clerical duties.

* Use QuickBooks for bookkeeping and financial administration.

* Assist with invoices, payments, records and general financial administration.

* Support the Directors and wider office team with administrative tasks.

* Maintain and improve office procedures and systems.

* Deal professionally with customers, suppliers and other contacts by telephone and email.

* Organise meetings and appointments where required.

* Prepare documentation, agendas and meeting notes as necessary.

* Ensure all administrative and financial information is accurate and up to date.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

* Previous experience in an office administration, bookkeeping or office management role.

* Strong organisational and time-management skills.

* Experience using QuickBooks – essential.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

* The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.

* A professional and confident telephone manner.

* The ability to work independently and use initiative.

* A positive, practical and hands-on approach.

* The ability to work effectively as part of a small team.
