Permanent Maintenance Operative – Birmingham

£30,000 + Benefits

Join the on-site team at a premium 667-unit Build to Rent development in the heart of Birmingham. You'll play a key role in delivering reactive and planned maintenance, ensuring the building is safe, compliant and maintained to a high standard while providing an excellent experience for residents.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out reactive and planned preventative maintenance.

* Complete painting and decorating to a high standard.

* Undertake general building repairs, including basic carpentry, tiling, drainage and hard landscaping.

* Carry out compliance checks including fire doors, emergency lighting, bell testing and water flushing.

* Support spa and pool maintenance, void inspections and waste management.

* Use hand and power tools safely while maintaining high Health & Safety standards.

What We're Looking For

* Minimum 2 years' experience in a maintenance, facilities or handyman role.

* Strong painting and decorating experience.

* City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in a relevant trade.

* Experience carrying out both reactive and planned maintenance. xjnqpsq

* Strong communication and customer service skills.

Hours: Flexible to work 5 days out of 7 days (Monday–Sunday), in 2027 will move to 4 on 4 off shift pattern
