We are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Operative to join a leading social housing maintenance team covering properties across Luton and the surrounding areas.This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term, ongoing work with a reputable contractor delivering essential repairs and maintenance services to housing association and local authority housing stock.

The Role

As a Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out a broad range of property maintenance and repair works within occupied and void social housing properties. You will ensure repairs are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard while providing excellent customer service to residents.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out reactive and planned maintenance worksComplete basic carpentry, plumbing, painting and decorating repairsUndertake minor patch plastering and making-good worksReplace fixtures, fittings, locks, hinges and door furnitureConduct routine property inspections and identify repair requirementsEnsure all work complies with health and safety regulationsRequirements

Previous experience as a Maintenance Operative, Handyman, Multi Trader or Multi Skilled OperativeExperience working within social housing, housing maintenance, local authority or property services environmentsGood all-round maintenance skills across multiple tradesFull UK Driving LicenceOwn tools preferredWhat's on Offer?
