Logistics Coordinator

Birkenhead

£30,000 - £35,000 per annum

Our client is a growing alternative / serviced accommodation provider o ering high-quality, fully furnished apartments and homes for short, medium and long stays. They are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive person to join a dynamic team.

Role Summary

As a Logistics Coordinator, your role will be to deliver and assist in the setup of soft and hard furnishing packages at serviced accommodation properties, ensuring timely, professional, and high-quality service. The role involves loading, transporting, unloading, and assembling furnishings to meet design and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely drive company vehicle(s) to various serviced accommodation properties across designated areas.Deliver and unload furnishing packages (e.g. beds, sofas, wardrobes, curtains, cushions, artwork).Assemble and set up soft furnishings (e.g. bedding, curtains, cushions, decor) and hard furnishings (e.g. furniture, white goods) according to layout plans or instructions.Liaise with the operations or design team to ensure the correct delivery and setup of items.Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the delivery vehicle.Report any damaged or missing items immediately to management.Perform minor fixes or touch-ups on-site where necessary (e.g. attaching curtain poles, minor furniture assembly).Planning, ordering, and maintaining appropriate inventory to fulfil demand and keep optimal supply.Ensure Health and Safety standards are followed during transportation and setup.Provide excellent customer service when on-site.Complete delivery records and obtain necessary signatures or confirmations.

Requirements:

Full UK Driving Licence (manual transmission preferred).Proven experience in a delivery, driving, or logistics role (experience in furniture delivery/installation is a plus).Comfortable with manual handling and assembling furniture.Basic DIY or handyman skills (e.g. drilling, using tools).Good time management and organisational skills.Strong attention to detail and pride in work quality.Ability to follow instructions and layout plans accurately.Clear communication skills and professional presentation.

Working Conditions:

May involve early starts or occasional late finishes, depending on delivery schedules.Would also consist of a day or two on site in our client’s o ce when deliveries aren’t required.Some weekend work may be required.Physically demanding – requires lifting, bending, and working with tools.
