Salary: GBP33,600 GBP37,000 per annum, dependent on experience and skills matrix

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am 5:00pm

Are you an experienced Kitchen Fitter or Multi Skilled Tradesperson looking for a stable, long–term opportunity with a reputable housing association?
We are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Fitter to join an established Planned Works Team, carrying out high–quality kitchen replacements and refurbishment works across occupied and empty social housing properties in Bedford and the surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong kitchen fitting and multi–trade experience who takes pride in their workmanship and wants to secure a permanent position with a company that invests in its employees.
The RoleAs a Kitchen Fitter, you will be responsible for completing full kitchen replacements and associated refurbishment works within domestic properties.
You will use a combination of your carpentry, plumbing, tiling, plastering and decorating skills to deliver kitchens to a high standard, from initial strip–out through to final completion.
The role will involve working in both occupied and void properties, so you must be comfortable working respectfully in residents' homes, communicating professionally with tenants and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesComplete full kitchen replacements and refurbishments within domestic propertiesCarry out kitchen strip–outs and prepare properties for new installationsInstall kitchen units, wall units, base units and worktopsFit sinks, taps and associated plumbingComplete first and second fix plumbing where requiredCarry out carpentry and joinery works associated with kitchen installationsInstall doors, trims, skirting boards, architraves and other finishing itemsComplete tiling, splashbacks and wall panelsCarry out minor plastering and making–good worksComplete basic decorating and finishing worksMeasure and prepare work areas accuratelyIdentify and rectify defects and complete snagging worksWork from specifications, drawings and job instructionsLiaise professionally with residents and customers when working in occupied homesKeep work areas clean, tidy and safe throughout the projectComplete work to agreed quality, health & safety and productivity standardsSafely use tools, equipment and materialsEnsure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales About YouWe are looking for an experienced Kitchen Fitter, Kitchen Installer, Carpenter Multi or Multi Skilled Operative who can confidently complete kitchen replacement works from start to finish.
You should have:
Previous experience fitting kitchens within domestic propertiesStrong carpentry and joinery skillsGood knowledge of plumbing associated with kitchen installationsExperience with tiling, plastering and making–good worksMulti–trade / maintenance experienceExperience working within occupied properties is highly desirableSocial housing or planned maintenance experience would be advantageousA strong understanding of health & safetyExcellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanshipGood communication and customer service skillsA reliable and professional approach to workThe ability to work independently and manage your own workloadA full clean UK driving licence Social Housing ExperienceExperience within social housing, housing associations, planned maintenance, refurbishment, voids or domestic property maintenance would be highly beneficial.
You will be working in residents' homes, so the successful candidate must understand the importance of being respectful, professional and considerate, while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
