Junior Mechanical Engineer

Remote | £35-£40k

A growing multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join its expanding Building Services team. With a strong pipeline of projects across commercial, residential, industrial and mission-critical sectors, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business offering genuine career development, technical exposure and mentorship from experienced engineers.

Working within a collaborative design environment, you will support the delivery of mechanical building services solutions from concept through to completion, gaining experience across a diverse portfolio of projects.

The Role

Reporting to Senior Engineers and Associates, youll assist in the design and coordination of mechanical systems on a variety of construction projects.

Key responsibilities include:

Assisting with the design of HVAC, ventilation, heating and cooling systems.

Producing engineering calculations and technical reports.

Supporting the preparation of specifications and design drawings.

Working within BIM and Revit environments.

Coordinating with architects, structural engineers and other design disciplines.

Attending project and client meetings.

Supporting sustainable and low-carbon design solutions.

Assisting in the delivery of projects from feasibility through to construction.

About You

To be considered, you should have:

A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.

1-3 years experience within a building services consultancy or engineering environment.

An understanding of HVAC and mechanical building services design principles.

Experience using Revit, AutoCAD or similar design software.

Strong communication and organisational skills.

A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
