Job OverviewAn excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Housing Officer to join the Strategic Housing - Housing Management team on an agency basis. This role is ideal for candidates with strong tenancy management experience within a local authority or housing association environment.

The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of properties, support tenants, and ensure compliance with tenancy agreements while maintaining safe and sustainable communities.

Key ResponsibilitiesManage a portfolio of council properties and housing schemesDeliver tenancy management services including successions and tenancy changesManage rent arrears and support income recovery processesInvestigate and resolve anti-social behaviour (ASB) casesConduct estate inspections, tenancy visits, and property inspectionsProvide housing advice and welfare benefit guidance to tenantsWork collaboratively with external agencies including social services and policeSupport void management and lettings processesMaintain accurate records and ensure compliance with housing legislationPromote tenancy sustainment and community wellbeingCandidate RequirementsProven experience working as a Housing Officer, Tenancy Officer, or Neighbourhood OfficerStrong knowledge of housing legislation and tenancy managementExperience managing ASB cases and rent arrearsExperience conducting estate inspections and tenant visitsAbility to work with vulnerable tenants and partner agenciesStrong organisational and record-keeping skillsFull UK driving licence and access to a vehicleAbility to work independently and manage caseloads effectively
