A leading CNC machine tool manufacturer is looking for a Field Maintenance Technician to join its team covering the West Midlands. The role has become available through internal promotion — which tells you something about how this business develops its people.

No CNC experience? Not a problem. Full training will be given to the right candidate. What counts is a strong mechanical foundation, a natural instinct for fault-finding, and the willingness to grow into a field service career with real long-term scope.

The Role

• Servicing, maintaining and fault-finding on CNC equipment at customer sites across the region

• Diagnosing and resolving technical issues to a high standard while representing the business professionally

• Taking ownership of your own diary and travelling independently to client locations

• Keeping your tools, equipment and company vehicle in professional order

What We’re Looking For

• Solid mechanical maintenance background — workshop, production maintenance or similar

• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability

• A fast learner who picks up new technical skills quickly and confidently

• Self-sufficient, proactive and happy working independently in the field

• Full UK driving licence

• Comfortable with regular travel across the region

• CNC machine tool experience is a bonus — but attitude and mechanical aptitude matter far more
