Description

Portfolio Facilities Manager

Location: Stoke–on–Trent

Salary: 40,000 per annum + bonus + benefits

We are delighted to be working with a market leading property developer and operator to recruit an experienced Portfolio Facilities Manager to oversee facilities management operations across a diverse collection of residential, Build–to–Rent (BTR) and commercial buildings.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong, hands–on FM professional who enjoys working across multiple sites, developing standards and supporting operational teams within a growing property business.

Working closely with the Head of Maintenance and supporting site General Managers, you will provide portfolio–wide oversight, ensuring buildings are safe, compliant, well maintained and operating efficiently.

The Role

A varied, multi–site position combining operational facilities management, statutory compliance, contractor management and new site mobilisation.

Key responsibilities will include:

Overseeing planned preventative and reactive maintenance across the portfolio. Providing technical oversight of building services, including M&E, HVAC, lifts, plumbing, access control and fire safety systems. Carrying out site inspections, identifying maintenance requirements and managing operational risks. Supporting site General Managers with technical FM guidance and maintenance escalations. Managing statutory compliance, fire safety and H&S requirements, using SFG20 to oversee asset registers and maintenance schedules. Managing contractors, service agreements and performance, ensuring appropriate RAMS and permit–to–work procedures are followed. Supporting the mobilisation of new BTR developments, including asset registers, maintenance programmes, defects and contractor set–up. Leading the transition of four commercial buildings into in–house facilities management. Supporting maintenance budgets, OPEX control, energy monitoring and sustainability initiatives. The role will also involve occasional out–of–hours support, with TOIL provided.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an experienced Facilities Management professional with a strong technical background and experience overseeing building operations across multiple sites.

You will ideally have:

Senior FM or building operations experience, ideally within BTR, residential, mixed–use or commercial property. Strong technical knowledge of building services, M&E and statutory compliance. Proven experience managing PPM programmes, reactive maintenance and contractors. A good understanding of H&S and building safety requirements. Confidence using digital maintenance and compliance systems. The ability to manage competing priorities, support site teams and drive operational standards. SFG20 experience would be advantageous, as would exposure to commercial property, new building mobilisation and relevant qualifications such as IWFM, NEBOSH or IOSH.

Package:

In addition to a basic salary of 40,000 per annum, the client also offers an annual bonus, and a range of benefits.
