We are working with an established and growing business to recruit an experienced Estimator to join their team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in civil engineering who enjoys the commercial side of projects and is looking for a role with plenty of responsibility and variety.

Working as part of the wider commercial team, you'll be involved in assessing new opportunities, developing costs and putting together competitive submissions.

Your responsibilities will include:

Reviewing new opportunities and assessing project requirementsProducing estimates and pricing information for a range of projectsReviewing drawings, specifications and other relevant documentationDeveloping accurate and commercially viable tender submissionsLiaising with colleagues and external contacts throughout the estimating processSupporting site visits and gathering information to assist with pricingPreparing cost information and supporting documentationContributing to meetings and discussions around upcoming projectsEnsuring work is completed accurately and within agreed timescalesDeveloping positive working relationships with customers, suppliers and other stakeholders

About you

We're looking for someone who can bring previous estimating experience within a civil engineering or construction environment.

You'll ideally have:

Previous experience in an Estimator or similar commercial roleA good understanding of construction and project costsExperience working with tenders, pricing and estimatesStrong numerical and analytical abilityExcellent attention to detailThe confidence to communicate with a variety of stakeholdersA relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline would be beneficial
