Estimator - Leeds - 55,000

We are seeking an Estimator for a leading Subcontractor within the construction industry. They transform spaces into functional and aesthetically pleasing environments. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a skilled Estimator to join an excellent team and contribute to their continued success.

Position Overview:

As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase by accurately assessing project costs and providing comprehensive estimates. You will be an integral part of the Pre- Construction team working closely with the Sales and Bid teams, this role will also need a person who has exposure to being client facing and somebody who is used to speaking with Architetcs and Tier 1 Contractors.

Responsibilities:

Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documents to understand scope and requirements. Prepare detailed cost estimates, including material take-offs, labour costs, subcontractor bids, and overhead expenses. Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to obtain competitive pricing and accurate project data. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective solutions and timely delivery of materials and services. Participate in bid meetings, negotiations, and client presentations as needed. Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and pricing fluctuations to inform estimating practices and strategies. Qualifications:

Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry. Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings, specifications, and contracts. Advanced knowledge of estimating software and Microsoft Office suite. Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in a deadline-driven environment. Reasons to join:
