Electrical Contracts Manager

Our client, a well-established and highly regarded Electrical Building Services Contractor, is looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to join their team in County Durham.

Established for over 45 years, this family-run business has built an excellent reputation delivering electrical installations across the retail, commercial and industrial sectors. Working with major national retailers, supermarkets, local authorities and renewable energy clients, they have a strong pipeline of projects and an established client base.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Project or Contracts Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day management and successful delivery of multiple electrical contracts across the UK.

You will oversee projects from initial planning through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage multiple electrical projects and contracts simultaneously.

Attend site meetings and maintain strong relationships with clients.

Oversee project programmes, labour resources, materials and subcontractors.

Resolve site issues and ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.

Monitor project costs, prepare variations and negotiate final accounts.

Review estimates and work closely with the estimating team.

Liaise with existing clients and identify opportunities to generate further business.

Ensure effective communication between clients, site teams and subcontractors.

The Ideal Candidate

Qualified, time-served Electrician with strong electrical technical knowledge.

Previous experience as an Electrical Project Manager or Contracts Manager.

Background in electrical installations, ideally within retail and commercial environments.

Experience managing multiple projects and coordinating site resources.

Strong commercial awareness, including cost control, variations and final accounts.

Confident communicator with excellent client-facing skills.

Good IT and organisational skills.

Willingness to travel nationally to support projects and attend client meetings.

Electrical Design & Build experience would be advantageous.

The Package

55,000- 65,000, dependent on experience.

Company car or car allowance.
