Description

Deliver and support asbestos removal and legionella management programmes across the housing portfolio.Conduct site inspections, audits, and compliance checks to ensure adherence to health and safety legislation.Review and approve asbestos survey reports and legionella risk assessments, ensuring regulatory compliance.Manage remedial works and monitor completion of follow–up actions to maintain compliance standards.Oversee contractor performance, ensuring work is delivered safely, effectively, and to agreed standards.Liaise with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to coordinate access and compliance–related activities.Produce compliance and performance reports while acting as a key point of contact for asbestos and legionella matters.Profile

A successful Compliance Officer should have:A recognised asbestos qualification (BOHS P402/P405 or equivalent), or be actively working towards achieving it.A legionella qualification such as City & Guilds, BOHS P901, or an equivalent industry–recognised certification.Practical experience working with asbestos and legionella contractors, including monitoring compliance and quality of work.A strong understanding of health and safety legislation, compliance requirements, and risk management practices.Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills, together with a proactive approach to problem–solving and customer serviceJob Offer
