Carpenter - Earls Colne, Essex - Full Time - temporary to permanent - 13.50- 15p/h

We are currently recruiting for a Shuttering Carpenter to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Earls Colne, Essex. About the role:

Building and assembling wooden and steel moulds ready for reinforcement cages to be installed and concrete poured. You will work from CAD drawings to manufacture moulds accurately, with materials required to be cut to tight tolerances of no more than 2mm.

Building and assembling wooden shuttering and steel mouldsMeasuring and cutting materials to tight tolerancesReading and working from CAD drawingsPreparing moulds ready for reinforcement cages and concrete pouringDouble-checking completed work before casting to prevent errorsMaintaining equipment and completing shopfloor equipment checksMonitoring material levels and liaising with team leaders when stock is requiredThe Ideal Candidate

Minimum 2 years' experience within carpentryStrong measuring and cutting skillsAbility to work accurately to tight tolerancesComfortable reading technical/CAD drawingsAble to work with minimal supervisionFlexible and willing to learn new methods and technologiesDesirable (for top salary bracket):

Previous experience within the precast concrete industryExperience working with shuttering or mouldsBroader construction or manufacturing experienceWhat's On Offer
